What is prognosis of breast cancer?

The prognosis of breast cancer refers to the predicted outcome or likely course of the disease.

It is typically determined by factors such as the stage of the cancer, the type of cancer, the patient's age and overall health, and the effectiveness of treatment.

The earlier breast cancer is detected and treated, the better the prognosis tends to be.

The five-year survival rate for breast cancer patients is around 90%, meaning that 90% of patients diagnosed with breast cancer are still alive five years after their diagnosis.

However, it is important to note that every individual's situation is unique, and the prognosis can vary greatly depending on the specific circumstances.
